About Us
Have you ever wondered how the first Christians worshiped, and what their churches were like? All you need to know about the first century church can be found in God's revealed word, the Bible.
So, why are there so many different denominations today? Why do they worship in different ways and teach different doctrines? Jesus never meant it to be so. In John 17:20-21 He prayed to the Father for unity among Christians:
"I do not ask on behalf of these alone {referring to the apostles}, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me."
We are a group of Christians that strive to worship God the same way the first Christians did, and in that way continue the unity that Jesus prayed for. And there are other congregations like us, across the United States and all around the world. We have no central organization – but we have a common cause: to be the church as it was when first instituted by Jesus in the first century.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."
Therefore, we rely only on God's written word as the authority for how we worship and serve Him in our everyday lives.
You can be simply a Christian, a follower of Christ, without being a member of any man-made denomination. Would you like to know more? Let us know.
